Alcoa, TN Hybrid Crawl Space Encapsulation System FAQs

Alcoa, Tennessee

Alcoa is in Blount County, Tennessee in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. It was originally known as North Maryville until the Alcoa Corporation (Aluminum Company of America) chose the location for one of their aluminum smelting plants, and the town incorporated under that name in 1919. It was a major production site for aluminum during both WWI and WWII. After the war, the company launched several community efforts to build the city up. It contributed to schools, the Tyson McGhee Airport, and parks.

McGhee Tyson Airport is located in Alcoa. It serves as both a military and commercial airport and is primary airport for the Knoxville region. It opened in 1930 in honor of Charles McGhee Tyson, a Navy pilot lost on patrol in WWI. If you are travelling though Alcoa to the airport, there are a variety of shopping centers and dining options very close by.

Alcoa also has a number of recreational activities such as a community swimming pool in Hall Park, several greenways for both walking and biking like on the Maryville-Alcoa Greenway, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center for all community activities and events.

Crawl Space Ninja is proudly serving the Alcoa, Tennessee area. We provide our Hybrid Crawl Space Encapsulation service, which includes our “No Cat Pee Guarantee” vapor barrier, along with mold removal, humidity control options, crawl space insulation, and more.
