Why is there so much dust in my house?
Because of leaky ducts you probably have lots of dust in your home. Did you know air ducts that leak also pull dirt, dust, and fiberglass into your home? If your HVAC duct-work is installed in your attic or crawl space this can magnify the dust problem. High-efficiency furnace filters can put pressure on your AC system and cause even more dust to enter behind the filter. Let the Patented Aeroseal Duct Sealing Process make your home less dusty.
Does humidity affect indoor temperature and air quality?
Leaky ducts can pull humid air in during the summer and dry air in during the winter. Your AC system works better and more efficiently when your home's relative humidity is between 45% and 55%. If your indoor humidity is above 60%, mold and dust mites begin to thrive uncontrollably. Sealing the ducts from the inside is another step to controlling humidity. In extreme climates, a whole home dehumidifier may also be needed to keep humidity low.
