Today I want to share 8 areas of the home that you can use the Anasphere Plus disinfectant. Eliminating air and surface pathogens is recommended for a healthier environment. Anasphere Plus is a great disinfectant and fungicide used to kill many of the pathogens that are in our world today. It has over 140 kill claims according to Anabec.com. Some of those kill claims include MRSA, Strep, Staff, E. Coli, Salmonella, all Norovirus and all flu virus as well as molds and bacteria. Here are some ways to use Anasphere Plus at home, schools, churches, daycares and offices. Recently one of our children got sick and of course he threw up all over the sheets and bedding. Anasphere Plus is great to use in residential and commercial laundry machines. It can disinfect sheets, rugs, bedding, pajamas, hospital gowns and more. Stuffed animals can also be washed but do a test first to make sure there is no interaction with the toys. Another tip, my wife washes stuffed animals inside pillow cases to protect eyes and other hard plastic or sensitive pieces. Make sure to never put toys that have pieces that can melt in dryer. Of course after the bedding was stripped we had other areas to cleanup like the floors, walls and headboards. While my wife was tending to our son, I went into disinfect mode. Anasphere Plus is great for disinfecting floors, walls, and headboards. Anasphere Plus goes a long way at a dilution rate of 2oz per gallon on average. Making up spray bottled for quick use is recommended. Spraying toys in daycares and nurseries at close of business can eliminate many harmful pathogens. Using it after someone gets sick is a great way to prevent the spread of germs. No one likes to clean toilets but they are vital to modern society and can be a hot bed for germs. Interestingly, the toilet may not be the germiest thing n the bathroom. Recent studies and even popular shows attest to the toilets sending fecal matter everywhere, from toothbrushes to sinks. I would not put it on my toothbrush but Anasphere Plus can be used in the shower, sinks, toilets, floors and other surfaces of the bathroom. This goes for commercial bathrooms as well. Odors caused by dogs, cats and other domestic animals are no match for the Anasphere Plus disinfectant. Whether you run a veterinarian clinic, kennel or are a groomer, Anasphere Plus is a great way to address bacteria and odors in these areas. Please make sure you follow the guidelines listed in the Anasphere Plus Complete Booklet of Directions for use when disinfecting around animals. For Odors Caused by Dogs, Cats and Other Domestic Animals: Use on rugs, floors, walls, tile, cages, crates, litter boxes, mats, floor coverings, or any surface soiled by a pet. Test a small inconspicuous area first. Blot problem area. Then follow directions for “General Deodorization”. Winter is coming and people will be running humidifiers in bedrooms, at the office and healthcare facilities. There are whole home and local humidifiers. In the south whole home are more rare than extreme cold areas like Wisconsin. But humidifiers are still needed in many homes when you turn the heat on. Heat dries the air. Many children and adults can develop nose bleeds during the winter or feel uncomfortable when the humidity gets too low. Properly maintaining humidifiers may be more crucial than dehumidifiers. They tend to be placed where we sleep. They blow air directly into our breathing zone. Yet when is the last time you disinfected the machine. I bet many people grab that nasty humidifier out from under the sink that was used last year, fill it full of water and turn it on. Not giving a second thought to what has been growing in there for months. Anasphere Plus is great to disinfect humidifier basins. Anasphere Plus can be used as a carpet disinfectant. Carpets can house mold, mildew and odors. Anasphere Plus is great at eliminating these issues. Now if you've got a serious water damage restoration problem the carpet will usually be dried or replaced. If you experienced flooding carpet years ago, applying Anasphere Plus is a great way to address potential issues if the carpet was not dried properly. If your carpet or other parts of the home have pet odors, smoke damage odors and even sewage odors, check out AnaFRESH by Anabec. AnaFRESh is biodegradable, safe and effective and uses no perfumes or masking agents. Kitchen countertops are often contaminated with bacteria. Using Anasphere Plus on countertops can disinfect harmful bacteria. Don't stop there. Use it in garbage cans or cleaning up after a spill and of course kitchen floors. Make sure you follow the directions carefully according to the master label booklet. Most of us don't pay attention to how many times we touch a doorknob or the keyboard of our computer. Touch points can transmit all types of germs and viruses to our families and coworkers. Applying Anasphere Plus weekly to doorknobs may greatly reduce exposure to these germs. I read the germiest item in a hotel room is the TV remote. When is the last time the one in your home was disinfected? According to Goclad.com, Strep virus and other viruses can live on hard surfaces a few hours and up to a few months. According to the manufacturer, Anasphere Plus is a disinfectant, fungicide, mildewstat and virucide. It is powerful and reliable, perfect for high-traffic businesses as well as places containing people with sensitive immune systems like schools and medical facilities. I installed a dehumidifier and sealed the crawlspace vents and put down a better vapor barrier. I corrected the humidity problem but as
Fall has arrived in Va. I now see an increase in Radon levels from under 2 pCi/L to more than 4 pCi/L in a ground level converted former garage, apartment, on a slab, connected to the main part of the house. The level today hit a record of 5.45 pCi/L.
I live in an area that is not known for elevated Radon risk. This is Williamsburg Va.
The source of Radon is supposedly whale bone in the Yorktown Formation according to The College of William & Marry.
I am using the Airthings Digital Radon Detector.
What I am considering is installing a Lomanco crawlspace vent fan blowing out from under the house. I am concerned I’ll also be sucking out the heat from under the house which we pay for.
I am also considering a timer for the fan allowing it to run for an hour a day… or 2 hours a day or???? What amount of ventilation and time is needed to remove radon?
I have watched a lot of your videos and have seen it suggested that a single fan blowing out is a reasonable solution. Bruce Snead didn’t suggest this approach and seemed to consider sucking out the heating and cooling to be wasteful.
What are your thoughts on this?
Thanks
Hi Doug, the radon professionals do not consider the 1cfm of air/50 square feet of crawl space a viable radon reduction method once radon is detected. It is used more for a general soil gas reduction but not specific to radon reduction once testing has been done and radon levels at 4 pCi/L or higher have been detected. The best advice I have is to follow the advice of Bruce Snead and others to install a sub-membrane radon mitigation system. I’d also recommend you contact your state or local radon mitigation contractor for advice to ensure the system is installed at their standards. Hope that helps.
Thanks very much. I enjoy and appreciate your youtube content.
I wish y’all worked my area.
Thank you so much Doug! Me too 🙂
