Can you show explain/show how to connect the 8620W controller to the aprilaire 1820?

My question is my Aprilaire has two ten foot 8” flex ducts I also have a fan blowing out the foundation in one spot rest are sealed how far away Should the return or supply air be also which one is best to be on the same side as fan
Hello John. I would have the return near the fan this way the dry air is less likely to go out the fan. If your crawl space is large you can put the ducts as far from each other as will reach but the Aprilaire is designed to be real efficient without them.
Is there a maximum length of exit duct that can be used with this dehumidifier in the crawlspace? I’d like to use 50 ‘ of duct to get to the center of the crawlspace.
Hi Tom, that is a great question so we called Aprilaire and they told us maximum length is 30 feet.
I had one of these installed in my crawl space by Crawl Space Ninja, and it has performed well for the past 2 years. The only maintenance has been the filter, which I bought a pair for easy swaps and cleaning. It has consistently kept my humidity within range, even during storms. CSN also added the condensate pump and plumbing to the outside. It is more expensive than the ones in the big box stores, but it does appear to be built better, which is what you need in a more remote part of the house.
