Lifting the Slab Instead of Replacing It

Concrete can be uneven and still have plenty of useful life left. If the slab itself remains in suitable condition, polyurethane foam injection, also called polyjacking, gives us a way to work underneath it. We create small access points and inject polyurethane beneath the concrete. As the material expands, it fills unsupported spaces and allows us to carefully bring the settled section back toward the elevation it needs. For the right project, that gives you several advantages:

• Preserve good concrete: A usable slab doesn’t have to be demolished simply because it dropped.
• Fill unsupported areas: Expanding polyurethane reaches voids beneath the concrete.
• Make a controlled adjustment: We can gradually raise the affected section.
• Reduce downtime: Polyurethane cures quickly compared with removing and repouring concrete.

Driveways and front walks usually get your attention first because you cross them constantly. One driveway panel can settle below the garage apron. A sidewalk section can drop enough to leave a raised edge. The walkway approaching the porch may stop lining up properly with the next surface. Concrete leveling may be able to correct:
