The Gauntlet
Returning to civilian life, the path wasn't smooth. Michael dove headfirst into entrepreneurship, launching a string of early businesses that failed to take off. With a newborn baby at home, mounting bills, and falling behind on house payments, he was pushed to the absolute edge—forcing him to look for a completely different kind of problem to solve.

The Epiphany
The massive breakthrough came from a regular household annoyance: his dogs smelled terrible. Tracking the odor down past his floorboards led Michael straight into his damp crawl space.
